What is Gotachat

Gotachat is an AI chatbot for business websites, made by Drupal Experience. You give it your own content, paste one line of code on your site, and it answers your visitors' questions from that content, day and night, in their language.

What Gotachat does

Gotachat adds a chat widget to your website. Visitors open it, ask a question and get an answer based only on the knowledge you loaded: texts, questions and answers, or files such as PDFs and Word documents.

  • It answers from your content. When your content does not cover a question, the chatbot says so instead of making something up.
  • It speaks your visitors' language. The chatbot detects the language each visitor writes in and answers in it, even if your content is in another language.
  • It hands off to a person. When the chatbot does not know an answer, or the visitor asks for a person, the conversation can go to someone of your team through live chat. If nobody is available, the visitor can leave a message that reaches your team by email.
  • It installs with one line of code. You copy a script from your panel and paste it on your site. That is the whole integration.

Who it is for

Gotachat is for businesses that want to answer their customers on their website without making them wait. It works for a small business with one or two websites, for a growing team with several sites or brands, and for large operations with many sites, languages and people attending live chat.

Your account is a company account with a team. Client administrators manage everything: chatbots, knowledge, users, plan and billing. Advisors attend visitors in live chat for the chatbots assigned to them. One account can have several chatbots, each with its own domains, appearance and knowledge.

It works on any website where you can add a script tag to the pages, whether your site is built with WordPress, Shopify, Drupal, Wix or something else.

How it works in four steps

  1. Sign up and start your free trial. You get 14 days or 100 conversations, whichever comes first, with no credit card.
  2. Create a chatbot. Give it a title, the domains of your website and a default language. Adjust its colors, avatar and texts if you like.
  3. Add what it should know. Paste text, write questions and answers, or upload files. A few seconds after saving, the chatbot can answer from that content.
  4. Install it on your site. Copy the installation script from your chatbot's page and paste it before the closing </body> tag of your pages. The avatar appears in the corner you chose.

What makes Gotachat different

  • Prices you can see, Enterprise included. Every plan, add-on and pack has its price on our website. You never need a sales call to know what you will pay, and you buy or change any plan yourself.
  • You pay per conversation, not per seat or per resolution. Live chat with your team is included in every plan, and the monthly conversations are shared by all your chatbots. Unused conversations carry over to the next month.
  • It answers only from your content. When your content does not cover a question, the chatbot says so and offers a person.
  • Every language, without extra work. Visitors write in their language and get the answer in it; your knowledge is searched first in that language.
  • A real handoff to your team. Live chat with support teams in their own time zones, weekly hours and official holidays. Outside hours, visitors leave a message that reaches you by email.
  • Your data stays yours. Each chatbot has its own isolated knowledge, and the AI providers do not train on your content.
  • Try before paying. A 14-day free trial with no card, and any payment can be refunded within 14 days.

A few honest limits

AI answers can still contain mistakes, so every answer in the widget is marked "AI-generated answers · may contain mistakes". Review your chatbot's answers from time to time and keep your content up to date. The chatbot cannot read your website from a URL yet: you paste the text or upload a file instead.
